16 April 2016 | Georgia will host the IChO in summer 2016
International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) for Students will be held in Georgia for the first time. Tbilisi will be the honored host for this event during 23 July- 1st August, 2016. The most large-scale, world-renowned and full of high reputation, IChO is the unique chance for students from 100 countries to gain experience.
Representatives of more than 75 countries have already made a registration to attend “IChO-48”. More than 700 students, head mentors, mentors, scientific observers and guests will visit Georgia from different countries. This is the unique chance to introduce Georgia to foreigners, to promote local culture and rich historical inheritance.
This is an unprecedented case in the history of the Olympics, when Georgia is hosting an event of such a level.
Today the flag of IChO was delivered to the President of IChO-48, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mrs. Tamar Sanikidze by the deputy chairman of the organizing committee of the Olympiad Elizbar Elizbarashvili, on the behalf of the Chairman SC of the IChO Dr. Gabor Magyarfalvi.
