Theoretical tour - scinetific debates and demonstration tour of the practical tasks will held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

The Experimental tour will be held at agricultutal faculty of Georgian technical university.

 

Tbilisi State University, or TSU is the first university in the Caucasus which opened its doors in1918, the day of the commemoration of King David the Builder. In 1989 Tbilisi State University was renamed after its founder, Ivane Javakhishvili and today is one of the largest higher educational institutions, with approximately 22,000 students studying in seven faculties. TSU scientists and students enjoy the services provided by modern learning spaces – 16 research institutes and up to 85 learning labs. Along with Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral programs, the university implements higher vocational education courses, as well as short- and long-term certification programs. Working in close cooperation with foreign universities, students can participate in exchanges and joint international educational programs to earn double academic degrees.

The main goal of faculty is to prepare the specialists for the country’s dynamically developing agrarian sector. There are more than 60 academic members in the faculty. The faculty carries out undergraduate (Bachelor), graduate (master) and Postgraduate degree programs that are accredited by Georgian Education Ministry. Undergraduate (Bachelor Degree) programs are Agronomy, Animal Science, Soil and Water Resources Engineering, Agricultural Technologies, Forestry, Food Technology (Double degree program with Rennes 1 university), Agricultural Engineering, and Viticulture and Enology (Double degree program with Milan university). All of them are fully funded by the state, government is financing tuition fee.   The students with high scores have the scholarship as well. Graduate (Master Degree) programs-Animal Science, Agricultural Technologies, Forestry, Food Technology, Agricultural Hydro Reclamation. In addition, entirely taught in English are two MS degree programs: Agronomy; Viticulture and Enology (Double degree program with SupAgro Montpellier). There is also Postgraduate (Ph.D.) educational programs: Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Forestry, Food Technology, Agricultural Reclamation and  Agricultural Technologies.

Up to 1700 students are now studying on Bachelor’s degree programs, 100 - on Master’s programs and 20 students - on PhD programs.
